A little About me

Hi, I’m Yagmur — the heart behind Lille Ljus, a newborn, child, and family photographer based in Chicago, IL.
Photography has been part of my life for many years. I first trained and developed my craft in Istanbul before moving to Chicago, where I built a career in the logistics industry—a role I continue today. But photography has always been where my heart belongs, and returning to it was simply a return to what has always felt like home.
Lille Ljus means “little light” in Swedish—a name chosen to reflect both the pure light children bring into our lives and the light that gives photography its soul. It also represents the Scandinavian simplicity and natural beauty that inspire my style: calm, timeless, and honest.
As a mother I know how fleeting time can be. My approach is centered on preserving genuine connection and emotion through natural, unposed imagery that feels effortless and enduring.
Some moments pass quietly, yet stay with us forever.

A relaxed session focused on real connection and everyday beauty. Whether at your home or outdoors, these sessions are designed to capture your family in a natural and effortless way.
I gently guide you while allowing space for authentic moments to unfold.
This session includes:
  • 45-60 minutes photo session
  • 15 professionally edited digital images  of parents and children
  • Extended family members can be included for an additional $25 per person
  • There is a $100 retainer to book your date with the remaining balance due at your session.

‍ Connection Portrait Session

A timeless portrait experience designed to celebrate the bonds that shape a family. These sessions are ideal for mothers, fathers, grandparents, and children, with a focus on refined composition, natural connection, and minimal, timeless portraiture.

This session includes
  • 60 minute photo session
  • 10 professionally edited digital images
  • Up to 5 people
  • Minimal and timeless styling
  • Pre-session wardrobe guidance
  • Connection-focused portrait
  • There is a $100 retainer to book your date with the remaining balance due at your session.
Additional add-on:
  • Extra image: $20 / image
  • Additional person beyond 5 : $50 / person
  • Extended family groups: custom pricing available

Newborn Session

$650
My newborn sessions are designed to be calm, natural, and completely stress-free for your family. I come to the comfort of your home and create a soft, minimal setup using both natural light and professional lighting. All props and styling are provided, so you don’t need to prepare anything—just enjoy the moment with your baby.
This session includes
  • 90-120 minutes photo session (depending on baby's mood) 
  • 12 professionally edited digital images of the newborn
  • 3 family photos (newborn with parents and siblings)
  • There is a $100 retainer to book your date with the remaining balance due at your session.
